It's prom season! Can I rewind the time and go back to my senior prom? It's been a hot minute since I've been in high school but today I'm celebrating like I'm 17 again. I got to partner up with Topshop to share a cute outfit idea from their new prom collection. I love how modern all of their dresses are including this one that has a vintage flair to it. A dress like this is my personal go-to because it's easy to move around in (especially if you're hyper like me!). Plus, the last thing a girl needs on prom night is worrying about what to do with the extra fabric mopping the floor. The sparkly detail on the chest of this dress (it's kind of hard to see it in pictures!) really adds the perfect touch of glam. The draping detail is what makes this dress so elegant and classy. I love it! Since the dress isn't loud and obnoxious I played up the accessories with a bold statement necklace and bracelet. I also added a pretty sparkly clutch because it's prom and you have to!!! ha
P.S You can wear this dress AFTER prom! It's definitely a dress worth keeping around in your closet for many occasions to come. Who knows maybe your future daughter will want to wear it on her prom (Vintaaaage!).
Hair and Makeup: I decided to channel Hollywood glamour with my hair and makeup. I created loose/tasseled waves (used a curling wand to achieve this) and decided to part my bangs on one side. A bold red lip is definitely a must in my book! YSL's lipsticks are the best I've tried so far because it lasts all night. You'll definitely stand out in your pictures. ;)
