I'm halfway through New York Fashion Week and for once, I'm not feeling overwhelmed and exhausted like I do every year. I think the biggest thing I've learned on this fast-paced journey is to make sure all my key essentials are prepped before the start of my trip. I've finally got a secret system in place and it's been so helpful on this trip especially. If you're wondering how to style your outfits for a trip, write your options on a piece of paper and take it with you. I literally have looked at my NYFW outfit sheet so many times since I've been here because it's easy to forget the outfit ideas you had in mind (especially the accessories and shoe pairings!) You can even give your outfit choices different names like, "Outfit 1: Edgy in the City"..etc.The same thing goes for beauty and hair products. I have A LOT of makeup and hair goodies, so I've learned for my trips to organize my favorites in special zip lock bags labeled, "Face, "Eyes", and "Brushes". For hair it's easy. I made a rule to buy travel size hair products and if my favorite product doesn't come in a travel size I have to limit myself to having only one big-sized product. I put it all in a special cosmetic bag and if it doesn't fit, then I have to get rid of something. It's so helpful when you're looking for a specific product (especially if your hotel room is itty-bitty).My makeup look has been pretty consistent through out this week. My go-to is a glowy face and simple cat eye with gold eyeshadow. Here are my favorite items I brought with me that I can recommend to any gal who wants to look fly on her next trip. P.S. Lots of you were asking about my brown lip shade on my recent instas. It's from Buxom! I linked below. xo
