Summer is officially a few days away and that can only mean one thing. PARTY TIME! Game nights at Saz and Steve's just got a little crazier. This year I finally have the perfect bar cart to entertain our guests! Before the festivities begin, Stevie and I knew our bar cart needed a little (or big) makeover. We wanted it to be a stylish but functional statement piece to showcase in our living room. Where does one start with styling the perfect bar cart? And by perfect I mean "Pinterest-perfect." I am so excited that I teamed up with Gearys Beverly Hills to help make our bar cart dreams come true. If you're not familiar with Gearys, it's the best place to go to when you want to add a splash of luxury to your life and entertain beautifully. They helped bring the magic to our cart while teaching me some helpful tips in the process. I thought I would share!
A well-styled bar cart begins with a plan
After we found the perfect brass bar cart, we were so excited to dress it up with our Gearys pieces. As you can see the bar cart we currently had was lifeless and dull. We were ready to mix modern elegance into our cozy Spanish-style home.
Glassware is Key
If you're going to splurge on something you'll have forever in your home - go with glassware. This is especially key if you're planning on showcasing it on your cart. Every bar cart needs a decanter...or two. These pretty champagne coupe glasses are probably my favorite of the bunch. They're so feminine and flirty - perfect for a girl's night in or even to serve sorbet on a hot summer day.
Play Dress up
Your bar cart should be your display area, so have some fun with it. I loved incorporating this 4-piece barstool set to show friends that we can whip up any drink! (umm whether that's true or not....) It's great to have around even when we revamp for special occasions and holiday parties. Fresh flowers are also a must - they can add beautiful aroma and color to your cart (try this to make your life easier.) The finishing touch for me was the tall green plant you see in the backdrop. #SazTip Bring your bar cart to life with an awesome background piece. It can be a unique painting, a gallery wall, shelves, or a fun plant ... etc
Infuse Your Personal Style
Lastly, whether you're looking to splurge on your dream bar cart or simply keep it chic under a budget, don't forget to infuse your personal style. What inspires you? Maybe it's a special piece or something sweet (like macarons!) - which everyone knows are my favorite treat. I love feeding people, so snacks were a perfect way to fill up the area and show off this cute little tray. I also added some of our favorite wine bottles to the bottom of our cart since it is ya know, a bar cart.
