It’s finally fall and the trends have arrived. This happens to be my favorite time of year because of all the holidays coming up - and my birthday! The transition from summer to fall isn’t as drastic in Los Angeles as it is in other cities. I’m pretty pumped that I will be traveling a few more times this year, which gives me the perfect excuse to go out and spice up my fall wardrobe. When I was visiting NYC for fashion week, the weather was surprisingly colder than the weatherman forecasted. That’s when I realized we are totally heading into fall, so I went out and bought a few pieces to keep me warm. I didn’t want to spend a fortune so I went to one of my go-to favorite stores (Nordstrom Rack!!!!) to stock up on some things. Keep reading..
While I was there, I spotted this Free People ivory knitted sweater dress. It’s the coolest thing ever when you can say you’re wearing a sweater, scarf, blanket and dress all in one. I got a size Medium so that I could wear it as a dress but you can even wear it over a pair of jeans. There are so many ways you can style this casual piece, but for this specific day I decided to give it some edge with these chunky boots in this plum shade. The color and masculine style is so perfect for fall. It was chilly out, so I added long-sleeves underneath to edge it up even more.
I like my hair and makeup to match my outfits (is that weird?), so I created this messy topknot hairstyle that literally took me less than 5 minutes. I added a last-minute berry lip to tie in with the boots.
I love taking risks in my wardrobe but feeling comfortable at the same time. What trends are you looking forward to chasing this fall season?(Outfit Details) Nordstrom Rack: Sweater Dress + Plum Boots (comes in black too!) // Similar black shirt underneath // Similar sunglasses
