When I think pencil skirt I think dressy. However, there's just something so relaxing about pairing a loose-fitted tunic sweater with a tight pencil skirt. The two are total opposites but when styled together - they make the perfect match. Today I'm sharing with you some how to style tips if you're into this relaxed trend.
Pencil Skirt: I prefer a pencil skirt that comes in a stretchy comfortable material (aka tube skirt). It's easy to style down and adds more structure and curve to your body.
Pullover: When shopping for a pullover the possibilities are endless. You can go with a fluid or oversized pullover thats either chunky or thin-material. When it comes to the neckline it's totally up to your preference. Try a turtle-neck style for winter/cold seasons. neckline of your choice. High-low styles (longer in the back, shorter in the front) work best (in my opinion) because they add a little structure to the slouchy effect and make the semi-tucking look more flattering and less bulky. Never hesitate to scrunch up your sleeves to give it a casual chill vibe.Shoes: My favorite styles for a look like this are with pumps or ankle straps pumps. Tall tailored boots with heels can be great too. If comfort is key for you, try pairing with cute pointy-toe flats/loafers or a pair of converse.Accessories: I'm all for the minimalist look so I say keep the accessories to a minimum. Simply add a cute statement bag, sunglasses and/or piece of dainty jewelry.
