Happy New Year's Eve from Los Angeles! I can't believe it's already time to ring in a new year. 2015!!!! Ahhh! A new year means new surprises. But first. I feel so incredibly blessed this year and never want to forget 2014. It was such a life-changing year for me in more ways than you know ;) I can't narrow down my favorite moments of 2014 (partially because I can't remember everything I did..serious brain fart action happening right now.) but here are some highlights in no particular order!
My Digital Life
In January, I set a goal that I would finally start creating video content on Youtube for you guys and FINALLY I did it. It was so challenging at first balancing a full-time blogger position + trying to shoot/edit/upload 1 video a week to Youtube. I'd say it was a mix between fun, stressful and challenging. This year was also filled with so many cool collabs for my blog. Some of my favorites (so hard to choose!) include working with Nordstrom, Sam Edelman, and YMI (which is still happening in the New Year..woo!).
Fun Events..
I love all the events I went to this year because among my favorites - I got the chance to meet so many of you! It was really cool getting to teach my own blogging class through Simply Stylist LA at The Grove.
It was there that I realized I truly have a passion for teaching one-on-one. Another great memory was getting to host Eva Mendes pop-up shop event in April. First of all, meeting her was surreal (especially when so many of you guys have said we look alike. ha) but getting to put my stylist hat on to help shoppers find the perfect outfit for Easter made my day. The turn out was insane - It was such a memorable day that I won't forget.
Another cool moment (if this fits underneath this category) was hosting a few flash-sale segments on Access Hollywood. I grew up watching that show so to be there on set doing what I love the most (talking about good sales) was super fun.
Another evening I still dream about and can't believe I actually got to attend were the Emmy Awards with Dove! What a crazy, fun and memorable night that was. I loved the getting ready part.
The Travels!
On to the travels now of 2014! Of course, the amazing NYC makes the list. I visited over 4 times for New York Fashion Week, work, and some play. It was also fun getting to visit Nashville! I went there for a wedding and fell in love with the city I was actually born in all over again.
Internationally, I got to visit my homeland Kurdistan back in July which is definitely my favorite place I went to this year. I'll never forget meeting so many of my sweet followers on the streets. It was such an unreal moment meeting some of you there.
Next, I would be stupid not to include JAAAAAMAAAAIIICAAA on this trip recap. I was so excited I even made a Jamaica Haul video! The most memorable moment was when I zip-lined for the first time in the Jamaican wilderness. It felt so liberating! Most recently I ended my year of travels with a road trip experience to San Francisco. I can't believe I actually managed to survive in a car for 12 hours! The drive up there was seriously the most beautiful route ever. I highly recommend you take it if you've never been to San Francisco. It is worth it!!
Personal Life
There's only so much of my personal life you guys see outside of my blog post promos, and/or fashion and beauty posts. I made it a priority mid-way through 2014 to show my personality more and the crazy Sazan that I really am. I literally feel like I'm talking to my BFF's (aka you!) when I'm writing my blog post or recording a video. Another thing I added more of into my life this year were workouts! I got my butt into a gym and seriously love being able to turn everything off, listen to my music, sweat and enjoy not having to take a picture of the moment. LOL
I also learned how to cook a famous traditional Kurdish dish - our version of DOLMA! If you're Kurdish and reading this you know it's a process and there are so many different ways to make this. If there's one thing I wanted to accomplish in the kitchen it was dolma. I'm happy to admit mine is not as good as my mother's but it's getting pretty close. ;) I'm so grateful for all my LA friends. After a long week, it's the fun game-night get togethers and laughs that make me feel so happy and blessed. I am so so thankful for the love in my life for being my biggest supporter and best friend. 2015 is our year!!! ;)

Lastly, Thanks to YOU for motivating me each and every single day. All of the sweet messages and emails and personal meet-ups have truly warmed my heart this year and words can not express how thankful I am. 2015 is going to be an amazing year!
