Pant suit meets girl boss.
Breaking news. For the first time in the history of my existence, a 5’2’’ petite girl (aka me) is wearing a pant suit that actually fits her body type. Say what? That’s right - I didn’t get this suit tailored or pinned in the back for pictures. It’s really this good! It was an unexpected surprise when I saw this adorable plaid set on a mannequin at the Express store and decided to try it on for fun. I was so amazed by the fact that this cropped-style fit me so perfectly. My first thought was why has it taken me so long to find this pant suit? The magic truly lies in the fit.
I’m wearing the set together but I can see myself re-working the blazer, blouse, and pants in totally different ways with additional pieces in my closet. For example, I imagine this blazer looking super cute restyled with a loose ruffle-hem dress. I can also see myself trading the blouse in for a graphic tee and sneakers for a more casual pant suit approach.
Accessories can either make or break an outfit like this so I had to choose wisely. I wanted to stick to the theme by adding a berry lip (so fall!) and chic sunglasses to give this look an edgy appeal. P.S You can never go wrong with chic beach-waves for the hair.
