Whether it’s a spontaneous trip to Europe or a planned weekend getaway - there are so many easy essentials to take while traveling. Since it’s summer and I’ve been traveling a lot this season I decided to share some of my tips to help you out. It’s taken me years to learn that sometimes it’s ok to leave the frilly dresses and killer heels out of my trip itenirary. Today's post focuses on the accessories and how a few great items can make all the difference.
Comfort is key if you're planning a relaxing weekend getaway. Pack a pair of nude flats and maybe a versatile wedge like what I'm wearing from Sole Society. The strappy-style is fun and on trend with summer. Outfit ideas can be wearing them with a cute romper, a pair of shorts, ripped jeans or a going out dress. The possibilities are endless!
I’m not an overly obsessed jewelry person, but I love having a statement necklace that's easy to wear with so many outfits during your trip. The more boho the necklace the better, in my opinion. ;)
Another great accessory to keep in mind is a portable and spacious weekender bag. A lot of the times when I’m traveling I try to fit everything in a big suitcase and that ends up being a nightmare when I’m at the hotel throwing clothes everywhere trying to find my phone charger (for example). Somehow I always end up losing my mind and my charger! It’s the small essential things that I love having a seperate bag for. This one is spacious and easy for me to carry those essential items that I’ll know exactly where to find during my trip.
Okay now I'm ready for my next little getaway. Stevie and I driving down to San Diego this weekend for a fun family reunion. Can't wait!
Special thanks to Sole Society for sponsoring my post.
