Happy Monday! I know Mondays suck, but I'm so glad to be back in LA today after a month of traveling. I'm still getting back into the swing of things (aka I'm still Jet-lag #helpme) so for today's post I'm sharing my current obsazzion which happens to be makeup (shocker). I love buying makeup. Sometimes I find myself walking into a makeup store for one thing and then I leave with 10 things. #oops Is anyone else like that? (Don't leave me hangin'!)Long story longer, I'm not someone who is loyal to one brand of makeup. I know, I'm a little makeup slut as some will call it. Regardless of mixing and matching products in my makeup life, when I find something I like I usually stick to it. Stila Cosmetics is hands down my favorite brand for shopping eyeliners. I recently did a Youtube video using their smudge stick eyeliner and created an entire smokey eye pretty much using just that! (watch it here)I was inspired to try more of their products since I loved the eyeliner so much. Check out my review of some new products I got and tested below!
- Product Details (from pic above!) -
Blush - This blush seriously made me blush (pun intended!). I LOVE LOVE this blush especially when I'm in the mood for wearing little makeup. It focuses on giving my cheeks a natural flushed look - which I adore! Shop the Shades: Camellia, Sweet Pea
Lip gloss - This lip gloss (you've prob seen like in this pic from my IG above) is currently my fave gloss that I own. No joke. It's not just a regular ole' lipgloss that fades away after two seconds of applying. This is one of the first matte lip glosses/stains I've found that won't dry out my lips and make them look like a croissant basically. Shop the shade: NUDE Vinyl
Eyeliner - More like life-saver. This eye-liner seriously changed the game for me. The pigment is so rich and one I can count on. (plus the fact that it's waterproof!) I just not discovered there is a rainbow of other shades available. Definitely need to try! Shop the shade: Stingray Jet BlackLiquid Eyeliner - If you're a liquid eye-liner kind of gal (which I am too) Stila's liquid eye-liner in a stick makes it really easy to create that perfect line. I will admit the pigment isn't as rich as the smudge-stick eye-liner but it can be helpful to use to create the cat-eye shape and fill in with with another eye-liner as needed. Shop the Shade: Jet BlackThe best advice I can give to those of you who are currently in the thought process of, "Omg it's time to change my makeup," visit your local Sephora or makeup store with a clean face and invest an hour or two of your time to sample different makeup products and brands. It's so important to know your skin type before you go (I wrote about this before..read here) or ask a consultant when you're there! ;)
