Our day in Austria started with a scenic drive up the mountains where we had the option to participate in white water rafting. I was too terrified to try it (surprisingly I wasn’t the only one) so I stayed behind with a small group. Stevie said he wasn’t going to do it either (mostly because he didn’t want me to feel alone!) but I told him I’m a big girl and he needed to do it! He lives for that stuff. He’s such an adventurer and I knew he would enjoy the thrill. As he put his wet suit on, I snapped a bunch of pictures of him and was saying dramatic things like, “PLEASE DON’T LET GO. I LOVE YOU, JACK!!!!” (Titantic)

Two hours later we met up and I could tell by the look on his face that he had a great time. My first thought was, “YAY MY HUSBAND IS ALIVE!” ha! He swears I could've handled it so part of me wishes I did it now!
I didn't regret it for too long because shortly after we headed to the Swarovski Crystal Worlds Museum for a tour. This was definetly an activity right up my alley. It was pretty awesome - especially if you’re bling-obsessed. My two favorites were the swarovski-covered head-piece and sparkly Cinderella slipper!

Stevie surprised me with a gift from the gift shop. I died. It was this love necklace I was eye-ing the whole time. He’s the best! I told him I’m never going to take it off (in my dramatic Titanic voice of course hehe.)
After a long day of activity with little rest, I was super excited to get back to the hotel to unwind before dinner and a tour that we had planned for the evening. We experienced a home-cooked Austrian feast at the hotel with some of our new Contiki friends which was a highlight for me. Shortly after dinner, we experienced a Schnappy train ride tour of the small town where we stayed. It was one of the most scenic drives I’ve ever experienced. Instantly, we could see why this area was so popular during the winter for skiing. Everything was super green and mountainous.
The sun was going down so the breeze was so nice and calm! Half way through the train tour, we were greeted by a cute little Austrian boy (the tour guides son) who was holding a silver tray with shots of Schnapps (aka strong booze) waiting for us. I couldn’t handle it. I’m pretty weak! LOL I did make some new friends (baby rabbits!) which I held and almost dropped. Oops. When Steve and I got back to the hotel we decided to go for a quiet walk and clear our minds before a good night’s rest. We knew we had a jam packed day ahead of us!
Made a new friend in town today. Steve told him to keep it that way. ❤️ #babybunny #austria #sazantravels #happysunday #naturetour A photo posted by SAZAN (@sazanbarzani) on May 31, 2015 at 1:06pm PDT

I’m going to jump to our time spent in Lucerne, Switzerland (even though after Austria we went to Italy..still working on that post!). We spent some time in Lucerne where I experienced riding in my first cable-car up a mountain. IT WAS FUN,SCARY,BEAUTIFUL AND DID I MENTION SCARY. ha! ;) I’m not a huge fan of heights but it was totally worth it when we got up to the top. We could see a perfect view of the Swiss Alps. We took a 20 minute hike once we got up to the top of the hill to get an even more awesome view. It was breathtaking!!! (and a nice little workout)
Later that evening we joined the Contiki group for an unforgettable boat ride tour of Lucerne. The water was crystal blue and we were surrounded by huge mountains. Pictures won’t do it justice! The next morning, we walked to the cutest area (it was like a Farmer’s Market) right on the water where I found a green juice stand!!!! You have no idea how much this meant to me after eating so bad everyday. ha At this point in the trip I could feel my body crying for greens which definitely gave me a boost of energy. (Note: we had been running on 5 hours of sleep every night since this was a fast-paced tour. No time for sleep!)
